Damia

A web based list of events. Designed to be easy to setup and integrate into an existing web page or site with an easy to use admin section. See below for an example of it working.
The project was designed to allow people I worked with to easily add events to a website without any technical knowledge, and for the system to automatically remove things from the list when they have passed. I will document more in the future.

This project uses pXw4Pa for some of the work, all other code is created by David Halliday.

02/06/07Damia 0.4
After a number of problems (including extracting an old copy of the damia files over the development ones) I'm back on track
I've added new features including:
  • Security fixes (big and small):
    • A locking system to lock the system down if the user name & password is entered wrong 5 or more times. Forcing an admin to log into the ftp and remove a file called .lock
    • Checking inputs for anything that could compromise the system. code injections etc...
    • better handling of inputs & outputs
  • Error messages & Warnings
    • Warning that default password is in use (this may be older but I added to it)
    • Warnings about file access rights on the server. Mostly to help installation & configuration
    • More & better Error messages. just to catch and point out errors to users
  • A boolean variable to control the allowance of HTML/XHTML in descriptions
  • A collection of tweaks to control the handling of HTML/XHTML in the description
  • select boxes for selection of day and month in the date
  • General bug fixes & improvements
