This was all about my server but now I changed it around as lots of client things have come into play.
Rockhopper: A small versatile and friendly breed of penguin. I named my work Linux server (originally a 166 before the HDD failed) after this breed of penguin. I'll say more over time as this server is a work in progress Linux box which makes a fantastic difference to my teaching work.
I'm aiming to fully document this system as I think it is a valuable resource and provides services that many other teachers (and hobbyists) may find useful. Also this is my way of giving something back to the Linux community as I'm not the best programmer. If you are looking for Linux in education you have to look at the karoshi project, to say I was impressed by what they had managed would be an understatement. I was blown away.
